Darkspire (Demo)

Free browser demo of Darkspire (어둠의 첨탑), a turn-based roguelike deckbuilder I'm making solo. Fight monsters with cards and climb the spire.

What's in the demo

• Chapter 1: 10 floors and the chapter boss
• All 4 classes: Warrior, Rogue, Guardian and Wizard
• An optional guided first climb with the Gatekeeper Spirit
• Ascension and the Daily Challenge are locked in the demo

The full game is planned as a Steam Early Access release: 3 chapters, 30 floors, 9 bosses, 64 cards, 52 relics, 5 Ascension levels and a Daily Challenge. Some screenshots show later chapters.

Features

• Every card hits differently. Slashes, stabs, poison, fire, ice and lightning each have their own effect, and bigger hits get bigger effects, screen shake and hit-stop.
• Monsters that move limb by limb. Every character is rigged into parts (head, arms, weapon, tail, jaw, eyes) with its own idle, attack, hit and defeat motions.
• 6 synergy families. Collect 4 or 7 cards of the same family (Fury, Venom, Guard, Tempo, Hex, Blood) to power up bonuses in every combat.
• Enemy intents are shown above their heads, so every turn is a puzzle.

How to play

• Click a card to play it. If there are several enemies, click a card and then the target.
• Keys 1–0: play a card · E / Space: end turn · D: view deck · Esc: menu
• Use the fullscreen button at the bottom right of the game for the best view.
• Progress is saved in your browser after every floor. Demo progress does not carry over to the full game.

Languages

English, Korean and Simplified Chinese. Switch with the 🌐 button on the title screen. The English and Chinese text was translated with AI and hasn't been reviewed by a native speaker yet, so feedback on awkward wording is very welcome.

AI disclosure

Some of the art, code and text, and the English and Chinese translations, were made with the help of AI tools. The game does not generate anything with AI while you play.
